The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) is the latest organisation, to caution the public against severe weather conditions in KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape.

SANRAL has encouraged the public to heed  warnings of severe weather conditions predicted by the South African Weather Service (SAWS) from Sunday, 29 October, until Tuesday, 1 October 2024.

The Working on Fire – Kishugu Joint Venture (WoF), is another organization prepping against inclement weather conditions that could ignite fire.
In an update, the WoF said it is on high alert and ready to tackle increasing fire risks across South Africa.

There are an estimated 11 fires, reported on Monday, with 9 ongoing in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, North West, Mpumalanga, Free State and Limpopo.

WoF said in an update on Monday morning, it has trained over 1, 000 firefighters across the country.
These firefighters are supported by 26 aerial resources and 63 vehicles.
