Rangel Logistics Solutions has announced a R125.6 million investment in South Africa, to expand its operations.
Now in its 5th year of operation in the country, Rangel South Africa unveiled a new 10,000 m² bonded warehouse near OR Tambo International Airport, as part of its long-term strategy to strengthen its role in the Southern African Region.
Rangel will also open a new office in Nakop, along the Namibian border. This will complement its existing presence in Zambia and Tanzania, reinforcing its cross-border logistics network in the region and support the trade objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The South African Embassy said it is pleased to have played a small role in assisting Rangel Logistics, to meet its achievements in South Africa, over the past five years.
The company created about 100 jobs back in 2023, with its expansion of the warehouse space in Johannesburg from 2500m2 to 5500m2, the opening of new facilities in Zambia and at the SA border with Namibia (Nakop) and Botswana (Zeerust) in 2022 and several geographies in South Africa, including Durban and Cape Town, by 2023.
