Eleven (11) undocumented foreign nationals were apprehended for illegal mining related activities in the Namakwa District, on Tuesday, the 16 December 2025.
Police said in a statement, an early morning clean-up operation in Kleinzee, Nuttabooi, and Bontekoe, led them to the men.
Tools and equipment believed to have been used in the activities were also confiscated.
Brigadier Schalk Andrews, said Phase two of the operation focused on targeted raids at identified premises in Port Nolloth, conducted in collaboration with Crime Intelligence.
