The Council for Geoscience confirmed an earthquake measured at 4,2 struck Springbok, on Monday afternoon, around 17:14.
Aftershocks were felt thereafter, measuring around 3.
The Council also said the exact location of the epicentre of the quake, was southeast of Springbok.
Mahlatse Mononela, Spokesperson of the Council has encouraged the public to record seismic activities using an online questionnaire.
No casualties were reported as a result of the quake.
