Flood watches and warnings were issued over parts of Australia.

Heavy downpours are anticipation as from 12pm AEDT on Thursday, in western Queensland -the Flinders, Georgina, Thomson rivers and Eyre as well as Cooper Creeks.  

Minor to moderate flood warnings were issued by the Bureau of Meteorology, over  parts of the western and northern Qld, the Kimberley in Western Australia, the Top End and northern inland New South Wales.

In addition, the Bureau cautioned against tropical low systems, anticipated in the Northern Territory and northern Qld in the coming days.

The Bureau also said flood watches are active in northern Australia, including Kimberley, northern parts of the NT, and much of the Qld coast from Mackay to Cape York.

They also remain current for southern parts of the NT, northern South Australia, and western NSW.
