South African designers- Leon Kluge and partner, Tristan Woudberg and their teams, clinched not one, but two gold awards at the Shenzhen International flower show, in China, this week.
The awards are “Best on Show” and “Grand Gold.”
They exhibited at the 29th Spring Flower Show, which officially opened at the Nanjing Botanical Garden, Mem. Sun Yat-Sen.
The show goes on until April 20, featuring over 40 varieties and nearly 350,000 tulips, in celebration of Spring.
Last year, Kluge and Woudberg’s “Living Contours” garden, featured a 100-square-metre display, merging African and Chinese plants.
They won a Grand Gold Award.
Speaking about this latest achievement, Kluge said “thank you to everybody at home for your encouraging messages everyday (I saw all of them) without your support it would be much harder. Looking forward to come climb the mountains in South Africa soon!”
