A fire in the mountains above De Doorns rages on, a day later.
The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s (CWDM) Fire Services said fire crews and ground teams continue with active firefighting efforts.
The fire began late on Saturday,
The terrain is challenging, in an area with a high fuel load due to fynbos and alien vegetation.
The Municipality said firefighting operations will continue into the night.
