The body of Tony Govender, a 54-year-old man who was missing, was recovered at Hazelmere Dam, on Tuesday.
Police search and rescue teams and those of Durban Metro, started looking for the man on Friday.
The man was spending time with his family and friends at the dam, when he entered the water to retrieve a drifting jet ski.
