Johannesburg Water (JW) said although the Commando and the Midrand systems recovered well, they are constrained.

JW said some water users might have interrupted supply, while others experience poor pressure and no water in high-lying areas.

JW also said the Midrand system continues to recover, but the Klipfontein Reservoir had challenges after last week’s maintenance of infrastructure.

Levels of water in the Erand reservoir are recovering but the Grand Central remains low.

Similarly, demand exceeds supply in the President Park reservoir.

JW said it would introduce demand measurement measures, such as daily outlet closures, to allow the system to recover.
