The National Union of Metalworkers Workers (NUMSA) in Port Elizabeth, is planning to down tools as from the Monday, the 15 June at at 06:30am.
Vukile Mangwana, Local Organiser of the union wrote an open letter notifying Beijing Automotive Industry Holding (Baic) SA of strike action.
Mangwana said Baic SA must agree to implement the Auto Sector NBF Agreement in terms of wages and conditions of employment.
He also said this industrial action is in support of the employees demands subject to the dispute which remained unresolved at the CCMA.
