The Black Business Summit gets underway in Kempton Park on Wednesday into Thursday.
Themed “growing the South African economy through economy empowerment, re-industrialisation and localisation, in the era of artificial intelligence” the summit hopes to attract senior leaders in business, government, civil society and politics.
Kgalema Motlanthe, South Africa’s former president, is expected to give a keynote address.
Then a panel of discussion is expected to include Parks Tau, Minister of Trade and Industry, Nina Yose-Acting Divisional head for Mining, Metals, Infrastructure and Energy, Mzwibantu Dayimani- CEO of the National Empowerment Fund, Tshepo Rapudi- Chief Investment Officer of the Automotive Industry Transformation Fund, Dr Sunshine Yende- Executive at NYDA, Ndumiso Zulu- CEO of Old Mutual Social Investments Cluster, Vuyiswa Ramokgopa- Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Agriculture and Rural Development as well as Chuene Ramphele- Group Executive of Infrastructure Delivery at the DBSA.
Other Ministers expected to lead discussions at the Summit are Velenkosini Hlabisa, Minister of Cooperative Governance, Mmamoloko Kubayi- Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development and Stella Ndabeni-Minister of Small Business Development.
