The fire above La Plaisir Wine Estate, was contained.
The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s (CWDM) Fire Services confirmed ground teams are mopping up.
The fire was reported at around 11:20 on Friday.
Teams from NCC Wildfires and CapeNature spent Saturday conducting intensive mopping-up operations, including pumping water from a small river to cool down large portions of the affected area.
Teams will continue to work in the area throughout the night.
There are still two small areas smouldering at inaccessible peaks of the mountain.
Teams are expected to monitor the area closely.
