The South African Weather Service (SAWS) warned disruptive rain and severe thunderstorms, would continue in Gauteng.
Some areas have already received flash floods including Equestria in Pretoria East (50mm), Irene (50mm).
Some residents shared pictures of hail in Edenvale.
More rains at Level 2 are expected in the North West, Gauteng, the Highveld of Mpumalanga, south-western Limpopo, northern Free State and the extreme north-eastern parts of Northern Cape, on Tuesday.
