Seventeen more people were murdered at a tarvern in Wedela near Carletonville, on Saturday.
Some fifteen more were injured, during a shootout.
Speaking about the incident, Bishop Mosa Sono, of Grace Bible Church, condemned the attack.
“This is a tragic incident where lives were lost unnecessarily through sheer criminality. Our hearts are with the families of the deceased and those who were injured” said Bishop Sono.
This incident is the third mass shooting this week reported in South Africa.
Another ten people were killed in Lwandle/Khayelitsha (Cape Town), and in Durban, over the weekend.
Police said this weekend’s attacks pushed mass-killing to nearly 200 deaths.
