Ongoing maintenance of water infrastructure in parts of the City of Cape Town is well underway.

The City had asked residents of Ottery and Pinehurst, to store enough water in advance for use during the maintenance  period.
Residents are also requested to keep taps closed, to prevent any water loss and/or damage when supply is restored. 

Maintenance work includes repairs and the replacement of pipes and valves in Ottery, on Tuesday, the 15th April, from 08am until 5pm. 

There will be no water in Pinehurst, on Wednesday, the 16th, from 9am until 5pm.

Tshwane 

Water in Rosslyn, will be shutdown for 14 hours, on Tuesday, the 15th April, from 06am until 8pm.

Significant business hubs will be affected, including the BMW Vehicle Distribution Centre, InBev SAB, Nampak, Nkwe Estate, Rosslyn Industrial area and the RW Hartebeeshoek Direct.

During this time, Rand Water will be doing maintenance work on the Rosslyn North Water Meter.

Buffalo City

A bust pipe at the Qongqoqotha gravity main, has caused water supply interruptions in Bisho, Sweetwaters, Ilitha, Zwelitsha and Ndevana. 

The Municipality said it would provide water tankers until the system fully recovers.
