Sunspot Farm in South Africa, is Huawei’s solar storage project helping farmers and their communities to create a sustainable, self-reliant future.
The farm is in Montague, Cape Town.
Mark Bleloch, owner and farmer said “in an area where energy scarcity has brought many farms to a standstill, Sunspot Farm has turned challenge into opportunity.”
The system has Huawei’s LUNA2000-2.0MWH Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which enables farmers to harness the power of agrivoltaics, merging agriculture and solar energy.
Huawei Digital Power launched the FusionSolar C&I LUNA2000-215-2S10, for businesses across the region, back in March 2025.
The LUNA2000-215 Series ESS has capacity to store about 106 Megawatts per hour (MWh).
