The Council for Geoscience (CGS) has confirmed yet another seismic event, this time in Orkney, a small mining town, on the North West.
Dr Taufeeq Dhansay of the CGS, said the earthquake was registered at a magnitude of 3,2, on Wednesday, the 10th September 2025.
Its epicentre was about 14 kilometres north of the town, within the KOSH Region.
Last week, an earthquake was registered in Springbok, in the Northern Cape.
The CGS has encouraged residents to report seismic activity.
