The Johannesburg Metro Police warned of heavy traffic congestion on Thursday morning, on the N12 Eastbound just after the Sasol garage, near Abu Baker Asvat Drive in Protea Industrial Park.
This as rains continue at level 4 over Mpumalanga, southern Gauteng, eastern and central North West, extreme eastern parts of Free State, south coast of KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.
Meteorologists at the Severe Weather and Information System (swaicsa) said this morning’s satellite images show strong to severe thunderstorms developing over eSwatini, east Mpumalanga and parts of eastern and northern KZN since Wednesday while new storms are developing over eastern North-West into northern Gauteng.
