Lepelle Northern Water postponed a shutdown, scheduled for this week, the 22 and 23 October 2025, at its Ebenezer Scheme.
The scheme supplies water to various communities in Polokwane.
The utility said the postponement is due to a delay in the delivery of valves.
This follows maintenance work conducted on 15 and 16 October 2025, affecting Pump Station 2 and Pump Station 3, allowing technicians to do final welding operations on the main delivery pipelines from the pump stations.
Water supply was restored on Friday afternoon, 17 October 2025, after quality control inspections were completed successfully and complied with safety standards.
The utility also said maintenance at the Olifantspoort Scheme will go ahead for the 12–13 November 2025 and 19–20 November 2025.
