The memorial service of Marius Van Der Merwe, a key witness at the Madlanga Commission, referred to as “witness D” is well underway in Brakpan, East of Johannesburg.
Van der Merwe was gunned down on the 05th of December, outside his home in Brakpan.
The Commission is set to uncover corruption in the security cluster, following an explosive tell- all by a senior in the police, General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
General Fannie Masemola, said on Tuesday morning, last week, he was investigating with IPID, the murder case of an African male’s body, found dumped in a dam in 2022.
The police also announced last week, they found a car believed to be involved in his murder.
