More earthquakes are expected to strike south and Central Asia, in the coming days, ending on the 30th of October 2025.
This is in addition to strong quakes in the area, including Afghanistan,Pakistan,Tajikistan & Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, China, India, Nepal, Myanmar and Thailand.
Pakistan alone has had 137 earthquakes in the past 365 days, according to Earthquake track.
On Saturday, Myanmar had another, measured at 5, on the Richter Scale.
Scientists including Dongliang Liu, Ruxin Ding, Diane Seward and others, who authored the Tibetan Plateau study, in 2024, say increased earthquake activity in Asia is due to tectonic plate movements, mostly likely caused by factors such as climate change.
