A pest control company was contacted by fizzy drinks giant, Coca -Cola Beverages Africa’s plant in Midrand, to remove an owl from its facility.

The company roped in Brenden Murray of the Owl Rescue Centre, who knows owls best, to help remove the bird from the plant.

Murray was 15 minutes into his trip to catch the bird, when he received a call that it was dead.

Dead or killed?

This is the million dollar question, the plant refuses to answer, and moreover, refuses to release the carcass for an autopsy.

Murray said he has ever since contacted the NSPCA for further action.
