The Weather Service (SAWS) has upgraded warnings for South Western Gauteng and extreme North West to level 5.
Residents of Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga, are warned against hail, strong winds, and heavy rains on Sunday.
As a result, rivers may flow faster, roads and low lying bridges flooded.
