The Public Investment Corporation (PIC) has appointed Patrick Dlamini, as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 June 2025.
Dlamini has about 30 years experience in senior management, and was previously the CEO of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).
Dr. David Masondo, Chairperson of the PIC Board, said about Dlamini βhis track record of ethical leadership and operational excellence makes him ideally suited to lead the PIC into its next chapter. His experience in development finance and investment management will be critical in addressing key priorities, including the optimisation of the unlisted investment portfolio.β
The PIC said in a statement on Thursday, the Board extends its sincere appreciation to the outgoing CEO -Abel Sithole, for his outstanding leadership over the years.
βUnder Mr. Sitholeβs stewardship, the PIC achieved several milestones, including growing assets under management to over R3 trillion and implementing the recommendations of the Mpati Commission of Inquiryβ said Masondo.
