After counting about 33% of the votes, the African National Congress (ANC) seems to be leading with 32,15%, the Democratic Alliance (27,83%), Mkhonto weSizwe Party (6,5%), the Economic Freedom Fighters (5%), the Patriotic Alliance (3,73%), Action SA (3,42%) and the Inkatha Freedom Party (3,,01%).
Counts thus far indicate the DA is leading the Buffalo City (51 seats), the ANC is leading with 61 seats in the Nelson Mandela Bay and Mangaung.
The DA is leading with 136 seats in the City of Johannesburg, Action SA in Tshwane, with 108 seats.
The DA is also leading Ekurhuleni with 113 seats, and the City of Cape Town (118 seats).
MK Party is leading in eThekwini with 112 seats.
