A 6.6 Earthquake struck the northeastern coast of Taiwan on Saturday early morning, local time.
It shook the country for about two minutes.
A video that went viral on social media, shows residents of Taipei 101 and surrounding buildings panicking and walking up and down corridors.
The country’s weather administration said there were no casualties as a result of the quake, but there was a widespread electricity outage, which according to the Taiwan Power Company, affected some 3,000 homes.
The quake was felt 73 kilometres, in Taipei.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST), said this event poses no Tsunami threat to the Philippines.
