Some residents of Springbok took to social media on Tuesday afternoon, with news of an earthquake in the area.
Others said it was a minor tremor, but the Council for Geoscience (CGS) , confirmed there was indeed a seismic event, in Springbok, on Tuesday, afternoon, around 17:27.
Its epicentre was SouthEast of Springbok.
Mahlatse Mononela, Spokesperson of the Council, confirmed it was measured at 3,6 by the South African National Seismograph Network (SANSN).
