Glencore, a mining company and Astron Energy are rebranding about 800 Caltex service stations, around the country.
Glencore owns a 72% stake in Astron Energy, formerly Chevron SA.
The two entered into an agreement in October, where Astron will supply diesel and petrol to Glencore sites, at a cost of over R365 million.
Last week, Astron Energy announced it had successfully completed the rebranding of at least 600 stations in Westville North, KwaZulu-Natal.
John Bailey, Retail and Marketing General Manager at Astron Energy, said “every station we rebrand is designed around what South Africans value most – a clean, modern space, friendly service, and the confidence of choosing a brand that understands their needs. Our goal is to make every visit to an Astron Energy forecourt feel like a positive part of our customers’ day.”
