Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji brought heavy rains and floods to the north-east coast of Queensland, on Sunday, into Monday.
The Bureau of Meteorology said the system weakened from a Category 1 cyclone, to a tropical low pressure system.
The highest accumulations were reported along the coast from Townsville to Rockhampton, and inland across the Central Highlands and Coalfields district.
In just 48 hours, Mount William received 601 mm of rain, Mattie ONeill Bridge (558mm), Clarke Range (514mm), Eungella (514mm), Upper Finch Hatton (455mm).
Hamilton Island had severe wind speed recorded at 116 km/h while Mackay Airport received 83 km/h wind.
A major flood warning was issued for the Connors and Isaac Rivers, south of Mackay.
