The Paarl hospital is open, following a fire on Tuesday.

Although there are reports of arrests of a 34 year old man, related to the fire, the Drakenstein Municipality has not confirmed this development.

Instead the Western Cape Department of Health, announced new rules, including that the Emergency Centre is open and accessible from the entrance at Hospital Street.

The main entrance in Bergrivier Boulevard, is closed, so is the public area.

Visitors are advised to bring own water and snacks because the kiosk is closed.

Only two visitors are allowed at a time, with visiting times expected to resume on Thursday, from 15:00 -16:00 and 19:15 – 20:15 during weekdays and 11:00 -12:00 over weekends and public holidays, as well as 15:00 -16:00 and 19:15 – 20:15.
