Tshifularo Mashava has resigned as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of City Power.

Makhosini Kharodi Chairperson of the Board of City Power, announced that her resignation would be effective from the 30th March 2026.

“Ms. Mashava’s departure marks the conclusion of a significant chapter for the utility. Having officially joined City Power a decade ago, she has served as CEO since 2022, following a period as Acting CEO and, before that, as the Group Executive: HR. Her career in the energy sector spans over two decades, including a foundational eight-year period at Eskom and time as a consultant at Deloitte” said Kharodi.

He also said Mashava led the organisation to clean governance, energy diversification, infrastructure and service delivery of electricity to thousands of households in informal settlements.

Mashava is reportedly stepping down to pursue other professional and personal interests. 

Charles Tlouane, Chief Operating Officer will now act as the  Chief Executive Officer, as  from 1 April 2026.
