The Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality is Limpopo’s Greenest Municipality.
This after, Tzaneen clinched the number 1 spot, at a ceremony, hosted on Tuesday, by the Provincial Department of Local Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET).
The Prize Giving Ceremony was held at Meropa Casino in Polokwane.
LEDET said the event celebrates excellence in environmental management and showcases municipalities that are leading the way in creating cleaner, greener and more sustainable communities across Limpopo.
The Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality came second, while Lephalale followed shortly behind.
Makhado came fourth, out of 27 Municipalities in Limpopo.
