Several political parties are planning a mass demonstration, on Wednesday morning.
Parties are the eThekwini Ratepayers (ERPM), supported by Ward 34 Independent, EFF, ActionSA, ACDP, MKP, Minority Front, VF +, NBRA, Westville Ratepayers, Asherville Ratepayers, Verulam Civic, Woodview Ratepayers, OHM, UIM, VAA, Overport Ratepayers Association and Afrika Mayibuye.
ERPM said on social media platforms, the demonstration is to “reject double-digit tariff hikes and the incomplete budget.”
Protesters meet at the Curries Fountain to march to the City Hall, in Durban.
The ERPM also invited residents to join- “come peacefully. Come in numbers. Bring your voice.”
