The Green Climate Fund and Global Green Growth Institute – GGGI held a joint conference in the Republic of Korea, on Monday.

Leaders and partners came together to strengthen collaboration to accelerate climate action in developing countries.

GCF and GGGI have, to date, deployed $74 million across 38 countries.

This was achieved through the GCF Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme.

Mafalda Duarte, GCF Executive Director, said, “Climate impacts are accelerating everywhere, and this is happening at a time when international cooperation is fragile. Development budgets are shrinking. Now is the moment to step up. The Republic of Korea understands this, as GCF’s host country and one of our top ten contributors.”
