The Electoral Commission officially launched the National Campaign for the 2026 Local Government Elections (LGE) on Wednesday, in Midrand.
Themed “get informed, get involved, get up and show up to vote” the Commission showed readiness to host elections on the 4th November 2026.
The Commission also said the launch aimed to encourage active voter participation and unveil the national communication campaign.
This is ahead of the Voter Registration Weekend starting on the 20–21 June 2026.
