Police arrested a hunter who accidentally shot and killed a 12-year old girl near Ficksburg.
The man was hunting with the deceased’s father at Franshoek Farm, when the incident occurred.
The girl was rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
Police said the man was arrested and charged with murder.
He is expected to appear before the Ficksburg Magistrate’s Court today.
