Most big dams across the Garden Route are over 100% full. 

The Garden Route District said notable increases were recorded at Korentepoort Dam (+26.1%) and the Garden Route Dam (+9.9%) ,compared to last week.

About 49 roads remain closed, following last week’s floods.

But the Akkerkloof dam supplying the town of Knysna is at 18,9% only.

The Knysna Municipality said the Bigai Reservoir remains at a low level, despite current pumping rate to the reservoir. Plumbers are said to be looking for possible leaks within the system.

But the Roodefontein dam supplying the town of Plettenberg Bay is at 99.5% full.

Several dams in the Eastern Cape are also over 100%, including the Kouga Dam at 101.1%, the Impofu Dam at 100.6% Kromrivier (Kromme) Dam at 100.6%, Groendal Dam at 100.9%, Jozanashoek Dam at 100.6%, Umtata (Mthatha) Dam at 101.0% and Elandsdrift Dam at 117.9%.
