About 136 newly completed accommodation units at Montclair Lodge, are expected to house displaced victims of floods.
This government-owned facility will serve as temporary emergency accommodation for disaster victims in the City, while they await permanent housing.
Cyril Xaba, Mayor of eThekwini, went to inspect the facility.
Flood victims currently reside at Mahatma Gandhi Road in the City.
Once completed, the project will deliver a total of 600 accommodation units.
By the end of next month, the contractor is expected to complete another 309 rooms.
