The public disaster risk reduction and management offices were advised by the Weather Service of the Philippines, to take all necessary measure to protect life and property.
This follows warnings against heavy rainfall and thunderstorms against Typhoon INDAY or cyclone BAVI, from Friday afternoon into Saturday afternoon.
About 50-100 mm of rainfall is expected in the Antique, Negros Occidental, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani as from Thursday.
Another 50-100 mm is expected in Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Palawan, Aklan, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Zamboanga del Sur, and Lanao del Norte.
Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas.
