A veld fire that broke out at the Robinson Pass, part of the Mosselbay Municipality was contained quickly.
The Municipality said it was made aware of the fire at around 16:30.
A multi-stakeholder initiative were on the fire line, including CapeNature, Garden Route District Fire Rescue and Disaster Management Services, the Mossel Bay Fire Rescue and Disaster Management Services and landowners.
No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.
Cornelle Carstens-Johnston, media liaison at the Mosselbay Municipality wrote “the Municipality extends its appreciation to all firefighting crews and supporting role players who worked together to protect lives, property and the natural environment.”
