An earthquake struck 145 km off the coast of Somalia, on Friday, at around 12:07am, local time.

According to the United States of Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the quake was some 91 miles north of Caluula.

It had a magnitude of 6.0.

Shaking was felt as far as Yemen.

Seismic monitoring group- the EarthMaster, said that quake coincided with the seismic activity across the Middle America Trench and Peru-Chile Trench.
