The body of a missing local fisherman, was recovered from the Tontonyane Dam.
34-year-old Lucas Lebelelang Kgosimore, is believed to have drowned at Tontonyane Dam on Friday.
His canoe capsized while he was fishing.
The North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, said the Police Water and Dive Rescue Team recovered his body on Saturday morning.
Galebekwe Thlapi, MEC of the Department, encouraged local fishermen to wear properly -fitted life jackets, avoid entering dams and water streams during windy or stormy conditions, and refrain from fishing when water levels are rising or flooding occurs.
