Close to 70 people lost their lives when a gold mine collapsed in Sudan’s West Kordofan state. 

It is an area controlled by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). 

Bystanders say artisanal mining shafts caved in.

Search and rescue efforts continue for miners trapped under the rubble.
