An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7, struck the Indian Ocean on Sunday evening.
It was about 1,670 kilometers south of South Africa at around 10:54 PM local time.
Online earthquake monitoring organisations say it occurred along tectonic plates at the African-Antarctic ridge.
No damage was reported as a result.
