The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s (CWDM) Fire Services and partners, CapeNature, said rain during the night, also assisted ground teams.
However, teams are expected to walk all the lines this morning to ensure that the rain was sufficient to extinguish any residual coals.
Some areas may still require ground teams to continue with monitoring and mopping-up activities.
The Municipality also said there were no injuries, loss of life, or damage to property.
