Johannesburg Water said on Wednesday, systems continue to recover following Tuesday’s 10 -hour maintenance.
Nombuso Shabalala, Spokesperson of Johannesburg Water, said measures are in place to ensure smooth water supply. These include throttling and a temporary closure of some outlets.
She said as a result some systems are showing signs of recovery, except Alexander Park, Grand Central and President Park reservoirs.
Critically low reservoirs are expected to recover gradually in the next 3 days.
“Alternative water supply through stationary water tanks, remains in place, and will continue until all affected systems have recovered.”
