The Lesotho Highlands Water Project celebrated the completion of the Khubelu and Mabunyaneng Bridges.
The two alongside the Senqu Bridge, will keep the A1 connected even as the Polihali Reservoir reaches full supply level.
The water project shared it spent R218.2 million on Lesotho-based suppliers and subcontractors.
About 327 site workers were employed.
Some 12 graduate engineers received experiential training and mentorship, while 29 unskilled workers progressed into semi-skilled technical roles.
About R5.3 million of the total expenditure, was invested in training and development.
