The City of Tshwane said the Bronkhorspruit water treatment plant is slowing production, due to high turbidity in raw water quality.
The City said this was caused by recent rains.
As a result, it would continue to monitor the plant, to determine if the plant can still continue or face closure.
The City also said water tankers will be arranged for the town, Ekandustria, Ekangala, Rethabiseng, Riamarpark, Zithobeni and Thembisile Hani Local Municipality.
