Moroadi Cholota, Personal Assistant (PA) to Ace Magashula, former Premier of the Free State, was denied a special plea by the Free State High Court on Wednesday.
Cholota is in Court for a R255 million asbestos corruption case.
The project was awarded to a joint venture between Blackhead Consulting and Diamond Hill Trading.
Investigators later uncovered bribery, and inflated costs, related to the project, which aimed to remove asbestos from residential roofs.
Investigators found only a few houses got their roofs fixed, but there was a trail of fake invoices.
Cholota faces charges of fraud, corruption, and money laundering.
She is one of seventeen people implicated in the scandal, including Magashule, flamboyant business personality-Edwin Sodi, and other officials.
