Disaster management teams are on high alert in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), following another forecast of more rain from Thursday, into Friday.

The weather service (SAWS) has warned against heavy rains and thunderstorms at level 4.

Similar conditions led to floods, over the weekend, which swept away 6 people.

Four were found dead, while the search for two, continues.

Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, MEC of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs in KZN, said Thursday’s warning is applicable to several towns, including Alfred Duma – Indaka, Alfred Duma – Ladysmith, Dannhauser, Dr N. Dlamini-Zuma – Underberg, eMadlangeni, Endumeni, Ethekwini, Greater Kokstad, Impendle, Ingwe, Inkosi Langalibalele Escourt, Inkosi Langalibalele Sobabili, Mkhambathini, Mpofana Giants Castle, Mpofana Mooi River, Msinga, Ndwedwe, Newcastle, Okhahlamba, Ray Nkonyeni, Richmond, The Msunduzi, Ubuhlebezwe, Umdoni, uMngeni, uMshwathi, UMuziwabantu, Umvoti and Umzimkhulu.
